welcomes to the participation in 2-day educational workshops

INNOVATION IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING

held in Kraków on 19-20 September 2014.

The workshops shall be devoted to the innovation within the field of teaching methodology and new technological solutions applied in foreign language teaching. The purpose of the meeting is to focus on practical aspects of teaching, the presentation of new teaching tools and applications as well as projects currently implemented in the area of glottodidactics. The participation in the meeting is a chance to share experience with professionals involved in teaching Polish as a foreign language and with language experts teaching other foreign languages.

An integral part of the meeting is the workshop of SpeakApps tools http://www.speakapps.eu/ enabling interactive teaching and learning of foreign language speaking skills as well as creating own educational materials with the support of SpeakApps Open Educational Resources. The project covers three didactic applications: Langblog – a tool for developing foreign language oral production skills, Tandem – designed for pair work and Videoconference tool for recording and saving language sessions. The tools are integrated with the Moodle platform and have been created within the framework of the international project funded with resources from the Lifelong Learning European Programme. After completing the training each participant shall obtain a certificate signed by the Consortium Partners of the project: the Centre of Polish Language and Culture by the Jagiellonian University, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Dublin City University and Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.

Within the cycle framework of the meetings three workshop-discussion panels and a student and postgraduate research student panel are planned.
